We're back with Netflix's Oscar nominated documentary short;

"Heroin(e)"

Huntington, WV has become the epicenter of America’s modern opioid epidemic, with an overdose rate 10 times the national average.  This documentary highlights three women working to change the town’s narrative and break the devastating cycle of drug abuse one person at a time.

Funding for this documentary was secured through the Helen Gurley Brown Foundation’s Glassbreaker Films initiative at the Center for Investigative Reporting, which specifically sought nonfiction shorts about women making a difference.
