Constructed in 1976 and referred to as the Greater Model Rec Center, the design was originally described as a “Play Machine”. Twopoint Studio, along with Plano Coudon and the Southwest Partnership are working to renovate the building and once again provide programming for youth and adults in the community.

The 7,000 SF building upgrades include new energy efficient mechanical/electrical systems, roof, glazing and updated restroom/locker facilities. In addition a lift will be installed to provide full accessibility and new finishes will be provided throughout.

Twopoint has worked with the neighborhood and stakeholders to assure the renovated building meets the needs or the community. Our engagement extends beyond providing design services and has included participation in the “clean-up” day spearheaded by the Church of the Nativity.
